1Password half price – for a while

How did I ever manage without 1Password? Thanks to AgileBits’ amazing security application, I’m no longer tempted to use the same password on multiple websites, or jot them on a Post-It note stuck to the bottom of my display. With 1Password, I can store login information for every website I visit within the application, and access it using a single password. Thanks to the plug-ins for Safari, Chrome and Firefox, I can save new logins and enter my details directly from my web browser, and by storing my data in my Dropbox folder, I can sync it across every Mac I use.

It’s not just for website logins either. You can use 1Password to store user details and serial numbers for software you’ve bought, hold information used to auto-fill web forms and make secure notes. It’s incredibly versatile, and it’s always at your fingertips when you need it. I scored it 4.5 out of five when we reviewed it back in Issue 240, but in hindsight, I wish I’d given it full marks.

1Password is currently half price on the Mac App Store, selling for £17.49 as part of Apple’s Mac App Store Productivity sale. The end date hasn’t yet been set, but don’t expect it to last long. If you want a cut-priced copy of 1Password, buy it now. Everyone who buys 1Password 3.9 from the Mac App Store gets 1Password 4 as a free upgrade, so there’s no need to wait for the imminent update.
