We've just taken delivery of Quirky's stylish desktop organiser Space Bar, which we'll review in Issue 232. Featuring a brushed aluminium finish, six USB ports (two at the rear, four at the front) and enough space under the bar to stow a full-sized Mac keyboard, it looks right at home under your Apple display or iMac.
We're looking forward to covering this one. Read all about it on 2nd March when MacFormat 232 hits the shelves, and in the meantime, check it out on Quirky's website.

“This interesting desk organiser from the States arrived too late for the next issue of MacFormat, but look out for it in #232.”

Looks Home Made
I like the idea of this product as I have to keep moving my keyboard out of the way when I'm just using my Apple Magic Trackpad and this would be a great way of storing it out of the way. I also have a USB hub so this would negate the need for that.
Sadly, due to the eight highly visible screws it looks like someone has bodged one together in their garden shed and at a hefty $79 it's not exactly cheap, despite looking so.
I've not been able to see a UK version of this with the UK plug so not sure of a price in GBP - if it's £30 or less then I could put up with the screws but any more and I'll make my own out of Meccano and Lego...
